There wasn't any fridge in the room so we had to use the ice bucket to keep drinks
cool

I was told the AC wasn't turned on yet, that it was an old system, and they hadn't finished making the switch from heat to
cool
ing.

The staff is friendly and was very accomodating when we found our 6th floor room very warm (as this is a older hotel and they had not yet switched the hotel from heating to
cool
ing) they quickly moved us to a room on the 3rd floor which was much
cool
er.

The window only opens 6 inches (to prevent people from jumping since the room is so hot I assume) so it took a while for the room to air out and
cool
down.

The next morning, I nicely asked the front desk folks to move us to a room with better circulation so we could stay
cool
and they put us in a spacious corner room at no extra cost.

The first night, I turned on the a/c thinking it would
cool
some while I slept, but I woke up several times because it was hot and had to sleep without a blanket.

It's an old-style boutique hotel, so the rooms are small, the layout is non-standard, and you open a window to
cool
off from the radiator heat.
