While there, we checked on our reservation and the woman working the front desk first looked surprised that there were three of us, in spite of the fact that the reservation specified three people in a room with two double beds, then said that a room might not be available to accommodate us as the hotel was full.

8. most of the nicer hotels, downtown, charge like this, but I'd jump at the chance to stay somewhere that offered reasonable parking rates and nice accommodation.

9. This was not a surprise as the man at the front desk was very clear about it, but why don't they figure these expenses into the regular rate? Outside of that, the hotel is probably the nicest I've stayed in - the bed was comfy, elevators are really quick, and the front desk staff is very accommodating - I had to leave around 4am and still was encountered with a friendly response.
