1. The rate from the front desk was $45 higher than what I'd just seen on line (with AAA ($186) and also included a $20 dining credit in their outstanding restaurant, Sazerac), so I stepped into the lobby made the reservation and waited for it to show up on their system (that made time for a quick drink anyway.

4. The restaurant attached to the lobby (Sazerac) is great, and the service there was outstanding as well--they even will give you coffee in the morning when it runs out in the lobby (which it did every morning we were there, about an hour before the end of coffee service).

I work in the hotel industry myself for over 30 years, the Monaco hotel was the perfect hotel for our stay in Seattle, from arrival until departure the staff was extremely friendly and professional, the food was excellent, we had dinner twice, the hotel was very clean, lobby and room and the location is outstanding.

10. Besides being a great hotel the location is outstanding, withing easy walking distance to the Benaroya Hall and the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Art Museum, many other Seattle entertainment venues, great shopping and excellent restaurants.
