1. I am a big fan of the Monaco hotels (have stayed at them in San Francisco, Seattle, and Denver), and would happily stay at any one of them again if I had the choice.

4. A big plus for me was the free copies of the NYTs in the morning and also coffee and wine (free ) in the lovely lobby area.

5. The rooms are spacious, I had a monte carlo suite (way to big for 1 person) that had a king size bed, flat screen TV, as well as a sitting are with a couch, chair, desk and yet another flat screen.

6. And then there is the nickle and diming that I just can't stand when I'm paying hundreds of dollars for a hotel room--one-ply toilet tissue, big bottles of shampoo and soap bolted to the wall, slippers with a 'if-you-use-these-we'll-charge-you-$15' tag attached to them.
