2. I also love the boutique-y details (pet-friendly, that you can have a goldfish delivered to your room to keep you company, the jazz music playing when I arrived in my room, the wine in the evenings).

3. Also friendly warning that I don't think reflects too bad on the hotel but just a warning for other guests is I did have to make a long distance call to Vancouver, BC because I forgot my phone and I found the charge was pretty large.
