3. That said, this hotel had everything else in the world we wanted: great location, friendly staff, clean, charming rooms, European flair, real brass keys (none of those sissy electronic substitutes), wireless internet (NOT free), flat-panel television, plenty of closet/drawer space.

7. plenty of restaurants and diners for a quick bite The only complaint is that there is no free Wi-Fi in the room, but the hotel has a computer in the lobby which is online all the time which you can use for free.

8. It is perfectly centralized downtown in the heart of union square and you will have plenty of great places to see, shop and eat within walking distance.
