1. The altitude moderates the climate and brings a freshness to the air that makes waking up to each new day a genuine pleasure.
"An undiscovered gem that shows you the other Hawaii - the one away from the beaches - in a magnificent natural setting. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/15/2012 Vote
2. My wife and I visited Lana'i during festive season - Xmas eve Dec 24, 2011 through new Years eve Dec 31, 2011.
"Koele / Manele Bay Outstanding Location & Service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/22/2012 Vote
3. Upon learning it was from the Spa at Manele Bay, the concierge staff ordered a new one up to us on the next shuttle to the Lodge for my wife to inspect.
"Great surroundings, ambience. A first choice for a quiet restful stay. The staff are very friendly, engaging. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/19/2011 Vote
4. Normally we visit a place once, have a wonderful time, then leave to explore someplace new, never to return.
"Hawaii for grown-ups " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/10/2011 Vote
5. My only complaints: the beds are not as comfortable as at other FS properties (and I really dislike the new FS policy of 'flat-sheeting' the duvets).
"A special place " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/28/2011 Vote
6. All are built to look like homes in an old Hawaii plantation town, so don't expect anything brand new or fancy.
"Paradise within Paradise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/4/2011 Vote
7. Great phone signal as well, which was a concern for us, and they are currently upgrading to a new wireless provider, so wireless should be great as well.
"Beautiful hotel, very different from 'typical' Hawaii! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/25/2011 Vote
8. There is also a new Oriental Pagoda built in the background.
"More beautiful than before! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2011 Vote
9. By putting reclining lawn chairs in the grass area opens up more space for your guest - I know the gardeners will object, but they're going back to manual lawnmowers, right?4) The live, beautiful piano music is incredible - but the shape of the lobby is not conducive to listening and relaxing - you need to configure your arrangement so the piano is at the center - also you should have someone take a look at the JW Marriott in Kapolei in Oahu for a tip on very comfortable chairs - your 'posh' chairs are too new York City, not Hawaii.
"Excellent hotel - mainly because of the staff " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/18/2011 Vote
10. The Dining Room has a new chef, and our meal was wonderful.
"Home Sweet Home - Lanai Style " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/14/2011 Vote
