1. On the plus side there is a full kitchen and the price is reasonable for Kona.

3. The pool was closed three days when we were here- fair enough, they have to clean it sometimes- but then closed repeatedly for the stupidest reasons, like the pool lights weren't working.

4. I will not rent a unit through the front desk management company for this reason - when dealing with them to obtain the required parking pass, not one smile or aloha was offered.

8. I am convinced that the reason for the mix reviews depends on which type of unit you get, be it Oceanside or Mountainside.

9. Although the place is showing some age, there are just too many reasons to stay there: Amazing ocean front view from the lanai, sea turtles on the beach by the lava tidepools, prime surfing spot with relentless surfers to watch, perfect sunsets behind the palm trees and all the comforts of home.
