1. Over the last couple of years, this hotel has become my personal go-to hotel in new York.

2. Again, the bed was comfortable, and new York is expensive, and the location is quite convenient, but I won't stay there again.

3. Our view was of a wall on all sides, dark and sad, but it's new York, so what did I expect? The furniture had scratches all over it, and I found things on the floor that didn't belong to me, suggesting no one had vacuumed.

4. I made my first cup of coffee every morning in the room (filter coffee, amongst others, is included in the room rate), which I had in bed whilst catching up on the news headlines (good choice of channels available).

5. My other new York tip: it's almost as cheap to have a 'town car' limo from JFK to central NY as it is to use train, bus etc, and so much easier.

9. We arrived late in the evening in new York to find our room had been upgraded to a Kingsize which was a nice bonus, especially as we were on our honeymoon.

10. The fact that there was no view from our room except into office rooms of the building just across was not dramatic, because you don't stay in your room all day in new York.
