1. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the sea, a lovely stretch of beach from which one can watch the sun set (not quite in to the sea - it hides behind the western shore of the island, but it's still lovely.

2. Our room, while not sea facing, was of a lovely size with amazing bed, good size fridge, microwave, a lot of space and pretty much everything that one would need to relax.

3. I would recommend this area over Waimea (a bit further on and MUCH more expensive - more for golf lovers and those for whom money is no object) and Lahaina (a bit more remote - traffic can be an issue getting there, but the town itself is lovely).

7. The sad thing about the customer service responses on TripAdvisor is that companies are quick to respond with a 'we're sorry, it won't happen next time, we would have loved to know when you were here, call us, etc.

8. We love food, and there just wasn't the variety of cuisine we liked, it also lacked a young vibe, surfer or traveller types weren't staying here - mainly older people.
