1. 5 hour drive to either end of the island which we found to be very convenient.

8. I would stay there again based on Duke's, the ocean (Kalapaki Bay), and the convenience of Lihue to all of the other island destinations -- but the hotel room and pool definitely needed to be renovated where we were staying.

9. There were several small shopping areas that you could walk to from the hotel, which was nice -- convenience store, couple other restaurants.
