1. The location of Pono Kai is very good for a number of reasons.

2. Staff were reasonably friendly when we were there -- we didn't spend much time hanging out with them, so I can't really comment on much beyond our check in.

3. They have daily and weekly rentals on site of chairs, umbrellas and scuba gear, that may be more reasonable than the expensive rentals at the beaches.

4. So it is a good location for those reasons, but the negative is that it is not a resort feeling because it is so close to the public parks along the bike path.

6. From then on EVERY day we either received a phone call (to which we declined our welcome package and explained our reasons) or a voice mail on the condos phone telling us we could pick up our welcome package any time.
