1. I stayed at the Wyndham Blake for business and it has all the basics for short-term travel: rooms are smallish but they make the most of it with an especially comfortable bed, a generous desk and an open glass stalled shower.

5. It's ideally located for my needs (visiting friends, easy transportation access, fun bars/restaurants within walking distance) and they generally have specials running that make it an affordable choice.

6. Free wifi, free drinks at the bar (where the bartenders and bar menu are great, not to mention the restaurant), and generally very friendly and comfortable place.

On the plus side the staff was extremely helpful and polite, the rooms were not quite what they seemed online (no comforters on the beds even - we had to call down for an extra blanket just to stay warm though they were really kind about bringing it up to us at 11 pm) and in general we didn't come to Chicago to hang out in our room so the location was a real perk.

10. There aren't even tables and chairs to sit at (just the 3 or 4 lounge couches) and the lack general layout of the breakfast table was reminiscent of what most hotels offer all day long - a decorative bowl of fruit and free coffee.
