3. A large part of the hotel's clientel appears to be from Japan, and much of the hotel signage is in Japanese; on the other hand, fellow guests (and their children) are generally quiet & well-behaved.

6. I was hoping for some sort of upgrade or other glad-handing, but I guess either honeymooners in Honolulu are a dime a dozen or I wasn't insistent enough (I generally throttle back that part of my brain when I am on vacation).
