The ice machine on the 24th floor was a god send & the Malibu drinks we made in our rooms added to the ambience prior to our nites overlooking the beach , the sunset & the music playing softly each evening on The Moana Terrace- great casual dining under the stars with Hawaiian music-we felt so close to heaven .

PROS1) GORGEOUS views from the beach facing and Diamond Head facing rooms 2) plush feather pillows (or synthetic if you require) and silky soft linens 3) two pools, one fresh water, the other salt water - clean and warm4) small refrigerator in every room5) decent restaurants within the hotel6) a quick drive or a 35 minute walk to a Safeway on Kapahulu7) 15 minute walk to one of the better Japanese restaurants in Honolulu (Tokkuri Tei).
