8. Protected beach right across the street, which is not only good to keep unwanted sea creatures out (read: sharks), it keeps the sand in and protects the coral reefs, and acts as a wave break so younger children can enjoy themselves without your constant help.

9. (but it was clean, and fully functioning) Also the beach renourishment going on in front of the hotel was a little disappointing, but they have no control over that, and it is a short walk in either direction to a good beach.

10. I was expecting a very average experience but found friendly staff, a lovely view (for a partial ocean it was grand), a happening bar with good food, and lots of Aloha atmosphere (they light torches and blow a conch shell at sunset.
