1. This was one of the newer rooms and had been re-done.
"Very average... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/6/2010 Vote
2. Not sure if it was really much cleaner but it did look newer.
"Disappointing, overpriced hotel - believe the reviews! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/27/2010 Vote
3. I asked for a renovated room (as suggested by other reviews), and was told there were absolutely no 'newer' rooms available to me.

4. We were finally moved to the new tower and given a newer therefore cleaner room.
"Don't expect luxury--or cleanliness for that matter " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/2/2010 Vote
5. That being said, ask to stay in the newer building with the big bed and couch because they didn't really enjoy their rooms too much.
"Great location and beach! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2010 Vote
6. The 3 of us got a room in the newer complex of the Royal Palm while the other 4 stood in the actual Royal Palm building itself (the main building).
"Great location and beach! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2010 Vote
7. I was given an 'upgrade' to the newer tower because of said leak problem, so I am not entirely sure what the price difference between the towers may be, but I was told by the front desk that the difference was $35/night, which if accurate, is well worth it.
"A Tale of Two Towers " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/22/2010 Vote
8. I would liken the main tower to a Days Inn and the newer tower to a Hyatt or Hilton (not the Four Seasons, but nice, modern and clean).

9. However, it appears that the newer tower has been renovated more recently and the rooms have an ENTIRELY different look and level of maintenance.

10. Will not stay at the hotel again unless I'm on the newer side.
"Needs work " Read full review on Expedia   9/15/2009 Vote
