2. But the hotel itself was quaint, beautiful, rich in history, had a beautiful courtyard with a pool, french rod iron table and chairs, lush gardens, and a wonderful view of the lovely rooms.

4. Not only is the location a delight, the rooms were lush, the staff cordial and helpful--I can say I love this hotel, and, even though I'm a NOLA native, it will be the only place I'll stay when I'm in the City.

Yes, it's a little worn around the edges but it still has a lot of charm, friendly and accommodating staff, (save for one surly housekeeping staff member) and a large, lush courtyard with small pool and fountains to sit and relax in the morning to plan your day while enjoying their Continental breakfast of coffee, tea, juice, Danishes or croissants.

6. The physical setting is almost unbelievable: the lush, shady courtyard hidden back behind a fairly neutral reception room, the incredible location across the street from the Cathedral, a block from Cafe du Monde.
