1. Since we did not know about concierge except for a guest that told us later that the owner's wife was showing it off to everyone, except us , we went to St Elmo's for dinner.

3. The front desk staff was not welcoming or warm, however the bellmen were exceptional, lovely and helpful.

4. After that initiation, the stay was rather pleasant, except the bed needed its bolts tightened, it sqeaked everytime you even turned over in your sleep.

Things I noticed that form my basis for that statement: undesirable odor; old, rickety furniture in rooms; no pool; bad plumbing (my 5-year old used the commode once and plugged it up); except for valet parking, unresponsive staff (I called the front desk at 8:30 pm to report a clogged commode and was told engineering would be right over.
