1. The decor was more than a bit outdated but the rooms and kitchen were very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable except the sofa bed.

5. Now for the negative: Every shower except for 1 (which we are talking 7 out of 8) I was continually adjusting the temp because it turned ice cold and then extremely hot.

7. The staff were nice and polite as usual except for one maid who just opened the door and said she was checking the room--did not give me a chance to come to the door and answer it.

8. Will definitely stay here again, and have nothing bad to say at all about my visit except that the elevators are very slow, so I would rate this a highly recommended.

9. The hotel is 5 blocks from the White House and we walked to all of the sites except for a cab ride to the Capitol.

10. There are very few eating places nearby, except for a little sandwich shop in the FOBO grocery near the hotel's supplementary entrance on G Street and a TGI Friday.
