5. Location is terrific, around five blocks to the Foggy Bottom metro stop and within walking distance of both Georgetown and GWU, in addition to being walkable from various big points in DC (we walked back from the Lincoln Memorial one night and it was 1.

6. Am generally not a fan of Ritz Carlton's due to their frilly american-suburban vision of what a nice hotel should look like (think awfully but expensively decorated big American city suburban homes).

9. The rooms are large and very comfortable with a big bath as well as a shower cubicle (the shower gel also foams up nicely in the bath) and the toiletries are Bvalgari.

10. The vegetarian entree for our big dinner was exceptionally good (which is surprising because I usually get a nasty bowl of pasta and veggies for a veg entree) and breakfast was nice also.
