1. The promissed improvements did not take place, they have treated the staff so badly that most of the old timers have left (good luck Reggie, John), the bar is a ghost town and the wine selection has gone from being one of the best in the area to the worst - even the ATM has been removed.

5. Perhaps not the best situated for the regular tourist attractions but only a 10 minute walk to George Town and the Circulator stops right outside (5 minutes to the Foggy Bottom Metro).

9. I have stayed at some of the best Hotels in Washington, DC and also Maryland's surrounding area, and NO other Hotel exceeded my expectations and had quality efficiency more than The Melrose Hotel.

10. Both on-site locations give superb quality service whether you are sitting at their bar, or having wine over dinner, they made me feel that I was (at home), which is essentially what I look for, and which is hard to find now-and-days from some of the best named Hotels & Resorts.
