1. This is an upscale hotel, but very comfortable, the amenities were great - work out facility, huge meeting room area, bicycles to ride about town and umbrellas to use in the rain (unfortunately we had to take advantage of them during our visit).

2. unfortunately, the fairly large pool had a malfunctioning heating unit that prevented me from swimming one night and one day due to the water being too cold ( 70 to 72).

5. unfortunately you cannot close the room door quietly and as a result there is a constant banging as people exit and enter.

6. We unfortunately had no chance to use our free access to the health club, or to try out their new restaurant, but can hopefully try them out on our next visit to DC, as the Fairmont will definitely be our first choice.
