2. We had the room nearest to the road, sun deck, and stairs, and were concerned that noise would be a problem, but it wasn't, and we slept well.

8. Finally I called the 'emergency number' -- at which point someone (one of the owners I guess?) who was clearly out at a bar answered, heard my problem, apologized profusely (to his credit), and told me that apparently the night bell doesn`t work but someone would be by soon.

9. and nothing to do with this property but why does an upscale pretty beach town like SB have such a rampant homeless problem.

10. I do have to say that my friend stayed at one of the rooms down stairs, and he had none of the problems we had (he did pay a bit morefor his room than us).
