Not a bad hotel, nice enough rooms but the location was a bit dodgy, you had to walk past the homeless hang-out or walk quite a long way round to
avoid
it.

The onsite restaurant is small, very pricey, and we
avoid
ed eating there and went to other nearby affordable food places for meals.
"A little above average experience, probably would stay again if at same reduced nightly rate "

AND, the premise has got a spectacular view of the San Diego Bay so it makes up all the difference (if you have a room facing the Bay) for those of you who wish to
avoid
all the downtown bustling and hustling.

The parking fee is pretty lame, about $14/night, but you can easily park across the street on 2nd ave, right off of the freeway to
avoid
that.

Others also tried to
avoid
providing this service, though no one was as rude about it as he was.
