However it is much more
expensive
to stay here than at the Hampton Seaworld which we found to have a bigger room and better breakfast.

Let's face it, San Diego hotel prices for downtown can be hard on the

I phoned from Yuma and the hotel personnel located it where I had left it plugged in in the bathroom and returned it to me by Fedex ( at my

go stay somewhere else downtown.

Lovely atmosphere, but the worst food we ate in San Diego and, unfortunately, our most
expensive
meal.

Why didn't we leave? The cancellation/early departure fee was too

The location is ok for those looking to visit downtown San Diego but not stay at the
expensive
hotels in the Gaslamp.

expensive
-$12/day.

This was my 1st stay at a Hampton Inn and I did not know what to expect; some reviews from other people were not really good but I chose it anyway because of the very low price (hotels are very
expensive
downtown San Diego) and for those Hilton Honor`s points.

We saved 50% versus the
expensive
convention hotels and found the Hampton Inn to be a great value.
