1. For the same reason Seaworld was not on the agenda ,instead watched grey whales migration from Point Loma and went on a disappointing whale watching boat trip, as the whales were shy and reclusive.

2. The location in the Gaslamp area is great, the 19th century look and feel, the shopping, and nightlife is all here, no need to get the tourist-shafting experience in the Old Town (although the Old Town is a wonderful place to explore by day, by night it is disappointing).

4. I am more interested in a bright clean room than in being in a historical landmark that is very dark and has old smells so for me the choice was very disappointing.
