1. Lamplighter met all my criteria for a good stay: the room was clean, quiet, didn't smell, and was well furnished.

2. For our room, the only drawback was that the air conditioner gave off a bit of a musty smell (I didn't notice the same problem in my sister's room - which was also much roomier) however it worked.

6. Broken door stained walls the toilet wouldn't flush broken air conditioner smelled bad so the next morning we went to look for a new hotel and right next door from this howard johnson was this best western.

8. I asked about the carpets since they always look and smell so clean and was told the staff rotates rooms to steam clean weekly so that every rooms' carpet gets steam cleaned monthly.
