1. The best room: The best rooms are on the second and third floors - avoid the first (ground) floor as it's onto the pool and not much of a view of the sea.

3. The pool is warm enough to avoid temperature shock but comfortable for swimming and the hot tub is great and open until 10pm under the stars.

6. THe hotel is right on the boardwalk, but about two blocks down from the more commercial area, so you avoid the noise and chaos.
