1. The only downside (for some, didn't bother us) would be the decor is a little old - not run down or anything, just a little old in style, everything works and its all clean so it really didn't bother us.

2. I only experienced two downsides during my stay: the elevators were SLOWER than molasses, and the housekeepers skipped my room after my 2nd night.
