1. unfortunately, instead of being on the waterfront, the hotel, whilst facing the river Delaware, is separated from it by a busy interstate highway.

2. unfortunately, we picked a week-end when all the local universities were holding commencement and all the hotels were booked and pricey.

3. We had an inside room which was quiet from traffic noise but unfortunately that did not keep us from being woken by the people above us whose footsteps kept us awake until 2:30 am.

4. , but unfortunately found Penn's View to have noticeably lesser quality mattresses and sacky-type pillows which detract from all of the hotel's other really good qualities.
"Great location & staff, but rooms can use upgrades " Read full review on YahooTravel   10/7/2009 Vote
5. We were not looking for a discount or freebie in any way, we simply wanted to mention it in case it could be looked into and fixed in time for the next guest who stays in that room - unfortunately something tells me that that next guest will also not be having any showers in their time at Penn's View.
"Avoid room 401 like the plague " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/15/2008 Vote
6. CONS:* While we did not have a room with a view per se, the hotel advertises those which do to have a lovely view of Penn's Landing and the Delaware River (which we could catch a glimpse of through our window) - unfortunately there is not much to see here at all, as the area is quite dingy and industrialised.

7. Yes, its 'on the river', unfortunately I-95 is in between (however it is a trendy area with lots of restaurants and walking distance to Independence Hall).

9. I had room 400 which had three windows overlooking the river (unfortunately with I95 in between but the noise was not noticeable) and jacuzzi bath.
