2. It wasn't horrible, there were other pedestrians and I felt safe walking even at 10 pm, but I would not have felt comfortable walking alone, or with my girlfriend walking alone later at night.

4. I`d stay here over the French Quarter any time however, as it`s a short walk and you dont get all the noise of the revellers of (horrible) Bourbon Street etc.
