4. loud, screeching noises (maybe the garbage truck and/or construction, we had no idea what it was) and valet guys talking and yelling at each other in extremely loud voices.

5. very small, but that's understandable in a historic hotel and it was okvery noisy- despite my request for a quiet room (well, as quiet as possible given the locale) we were put next to the coffee area and people slammed the door and talked loudly outside our room starting very early in the morning.

6. My tips for staying here are this: Be aware of the loud street noise if you book a room in the main house with a balcony.

7. Despite the loudness of Bourbon Street, the street that the hotel is on is super quiet, so you get to come back to a peaceful environment for your resting/sleeping times.

9. I cannot express enough how loud basic street noise plus the slamming of the gate was in this room (even with heavy drinking involved).

10. To enter the main courtyard of the Hermann House (rooms are off the courtyard), you pass through a large (locked) wrought iron gate controlled by room key cards that when coming or going, makes a very loud slam when closing.
