1. The French Quarter is walking distance, albeit a long walk, and though we never took a cab to and from the front desk staff said cabs from there to the hotel run roughly $7.

2. And if you are bringing a stroller, a jogging stroller would probably work better on the rough sidewalks.

3. The side walks around the hotel are rather rough to push a stroller on and it is several blocks to the French Quarter so that could be a problem if you don't like to do much walking.
