1. We come from NY and we felt this city was very unsafe, in the down town area.

2. Although Memphis seemed economically depressed and somewhat unsafe with 3 girls, we felt very secure in the parking structure and hotel - locked lobby doors after 5pm, room key needed to access elevator at all times, security person in lobby at night, and more.
