1. In the diverse weirdness that is Greektown Detroit (empty parking lots, three casinos, restaurants galore, ancient bars) the Atheneum stands out as a icon of it all.

2. weird that I would have found that much else to do in a place like Detroit, but as a frequent visitor to the city, I have no problem completely avoiding the Greektown area at this point.
