1. The hotel had obviously seen better days as there was a noticeable level of wear and tear about everything, scuffs, scratches, poor carpet, the elevator smelled funny, as did the guest hallway on our floor.

2. There was also some strange rubber blanket thrown on the bottom of the tub i assume to cover up the wear and tear from the 30 year old tub.
