1. Mainly because we were right next to the Interstate exit and had to keep curtains closed so as to hopefully keep out a bit more noise and keep in a bit more privacy (i know that during the day cars are not slowing down to try to see into the rooms but tell that to my hubby :D).

2. They were incredibly slow but had some kind of cool Southwestern wooden design in there made out of some wood that had a very pleasant smell.
