1. Yes, the rooms are small and yes, the decor may be a tad dated for those who are picky about such things, but the price and the location cannot be beat should you happen to be in San Francisco during a period when hotel rooms in the area are in heavy demand.

2. Though the room was on the smaller side and the TV/bedside radio were somewhat dated, it was also very clean with a nice comfy bed (not too hard; not too soft; not squeaky, etc).
