3. I would recommend a room away from the lobby (loud tour buses unload) and especially away from Bay Street (busy, noisy street).

4. The staff was wonderful, I mentioned that we were traveling because of my wife's 50th birthday (yes I'm allowed to say that out loud), and during our first night we were surprised by a bottle of champaigne and a fruit plate (this all while staying for free on points).

5. The location is just far enough that the cable cars and other loud sounds don't bother you, but close enough to walk to Ghiradelli Square and the Wharf.

6. Our only complaint was that the noise from the floor above was loud enough to keep us awake throughout the night (in particular the squeaky beds above us.
