1. We asked for a room on an upper level towards the back of the hotel and this was quiet and we were not disturbed at all by the noise from street outside.

3. The problem is that if the room faces Powell St then the noise will definately disturb your sleep - not just from the cable cars but traffic noise, loud voices, garbage trucks and fighting on the street.

4. One small point - the housekeeping staff come by too early in the morning so put out your 'do not disturb' sign if you want to sleep in.
