1. I'd built up so much excitement throughout a month of planning that while we sipped disgusting drinks on the night of birthday in the lackluster hotel lobby, I cried.

Our room (so so), our view (eh), housekeeping (minimal), the location (sketchy and blah), the bed (hard as a rock), the service (non existent, in our case - not even a 'Happy Birthday' at check in our cheesy card like most hotels do), the restaurant/bar (FIFTY dollars for an average tasting, tiny flatbread pizza and two disgusting drinks from the bar).
