1. We did not bother with renting a car - would actually have been a needless expense.

2. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be for downtown San Francisco and I was pleasantly surprised by the care and attention shown by the entire staff from front desk, to bellman, to housekeeping.

3. Use the valet parking as the time and expense of finding parking in the heart of SF is painful.

4. Valet parking is expensive, but this is true of all parking in this area, that said our car was always delivered within minutes of asking for it.

5. Just to balance out the review a bit, the complimentary continental breakfast was not bad but wasn't a highlight, the hotel isn't cheap and it only offers valet parking but this was only marginally more expensive than the car parks around Union Square.
