1. Lift was extremely slow and didn't seem very safe, the hall way smelled like someone was cooking smelly socks in their room, the room was damp and had mildew all on the ceiling, the door to the closet/air con room was broken so had to listen to the noise of the air con which sounded like it was about to cark it and the smell coming out of it was gross, the toilet was blocked, the towels had hairs all over them, the floor was sticky (??) and the window was so big the curtain couldnt close properly only 2 lights were working in the room - there wasn't even bulbs in some of the lights.

2. It stinks in the hallways and there was a lot of noise of the rooms nextdoor in the middle of the night you hear people screaming, coughing and so on.

3. on arriving the lobby is impressive but the 10 minute wait for a lift that makes noises that it is on its last legs should set the alarm bells ringing.

4. The only noise we heard were the doors to other rooms slamming as it closed automatically, guess the hotel wanted to make sure the doors lock.

6. An earlier stay in May 2007 at the Days Inn sister hotel at Miami Beach at Oceanside created similar violent noise for a member of our group who complained but received no compensation for his sleepless night.

We stayed at the Days Inn South Beach just for one night in December 2006 and it was a huge disappointment because we already stayed here in 2001 and the hotel got worse in every sense of the word;first of all we booked an ocean view room and according to the reviews we were quite fortunate to do that but we had our problems;the rooms on the beach are possibly the noisest ones because there is a loud club nearby attended by the likes of preppy girls and wannabes and the noise lasted till 3 A.
