We're talking 'croissants' that are limp and rubbery, one kind of bagels (egg) that are as
hard
as a rock, and no jams or preserves except for little plastic containers of Smucker's grape and mixed-fruit jelly.

The mattress was on the
hard
side which is tough on me because I have a bad neck, but the worst were the small
hard
lumpy pillows which guaranteed that I woke up many times during the night in pain.

Chic hotel without self important staff or trying-to-

The decor is modern, and is to our liking, but we found the
hard
flooring in the rooms make for a very noisy stay.

For a green hotel, that does not want to wash your towels everyday, it is
hard
to have dry towels, if you can not hang them up.

The rooms were nice and clean, with
hard
wood floors and views of Petco Stadium that are
hard
to beat.

On the downside, overnight parking was expensive, the beds were
hard
and the hotel is several blocks removed from the heart of the Gaslamp District, which is where we wanted to be.

And those
hard
wood floors? It means any time some in the room above dropped something
hard
or walked across in a
hard
-soled shoe, we got to hear it.
