It is next to the officical Gaslamp district which helps to
avoid
the noise though it is close enough to walk to the numerous restaurants, shops, bars, etc.

The Gaslamp District is touristy to the point where we didn't bother with it, but even for those taking advantage, I'd think being just outside it, as this hotel is, is a big plus for

If you park on the street, read all the signs to

a parking ticket.
