The ocean view room is a

The beds are comfy, very plush and soft (a
tiny
bit too soft for me), and there is A/C in the rooms.

The gift shop is just a small room off the lobby (no cashier) that has a
tiny
supply of items that you choose from and pay at the front desk.

The spa is
tiny
& after speaking to other guests staying there we think it would have been worth it to book a service at the Grand Hyatt (5 min from Koa Kea) so we could have enjoyed amenities that were not available at the Koa Kea spa.

You do have to rent a chair and umbrella if you want to sit right on the sand, but the lawn/poolside area is so close we chose to sit there and walk the
tiny
distance to the ocean for a swim.

What is not so great? The
tiny
rooms, the limited view from 'ocean view' rooms and the exorbitant rates.
