1. It's not an extremely soundproof hotel, and seems to be a favorite for wedding parties and loud music on Saturday nights.

5. While the fireplace was lovely, the glass to it was filthy as well and there was a timer for it and at the end of the time the fireplace would turn off and then the timer would start beeping very loudly apparently to warn you that the fireplace had turned off.

6. The fire place has great ambiance but when it is on it puts out a lot of heat for a small space and the mechanics of it are really loud, we couldn't have it on and carry on a conversation, plus had to have the slider open all night for cool air.

10. But bear in mind these few things: get a room on the water side as the train runs through the night on the city side; there is no pool in the hotel; you can turn off the fan if it gets too loud.
