1. The rooms facing the Shilo Hotel are fairly quiet but the rooms facing the freeway and the main road are noisy.

2. Top floors have good view to downtown Portland but can be noisy in the morning due to traffic and freight train , I think the other 2 directions will be better option ( this hotel is the shape of triangle- crown), we used white noise from our Ipad which helped us sleep in a little .

3. Given the location of the place, in a nest of freeways, and apparent lack of control the staff has over noisy guests, I would find another place to stay if a conference takes me to this area in Portland.
