1. You can really hear the noise from other residents in other units - poor construction without any soundproofing.

We never had any problems with noise or smoke as mentioned in a previous review, but as in the case in many condos in Hawaii, the windows only have shutters (no glass) so they would not close completely and the units are relatively close to each other, so this could be an issue if you had bad neighbors.

4. The pool was under construction, so there was quite a bit of noise from that in addition to all the other renos.

5. The lanais have privacy walls, but sitting out at night, you do hear the conversations from others--- but we did not have any noise in our room that kept us from sleeping.

9. The front door is a screen with wooden shades that you can close but it's not exactly sound proof from the noise of people traveling up and down the stairs and entering and exiting their rooms.
